NSWMW held a Family Day at Coachmans Park in St Marys on Saturday the 21st of July. It was an awesome success with people coming from all over Sydney to support us. We were blessed with a beautiful day and everyone turned up with positive attitudes.
Our day started with a Welcome to Country & Didgeridoo performance from Uncle Brendan.
Iti Rerea, the Cameron Family, Te Raranga Whanau, BroNZe and the St Marys Public School Culture Group all performed on the day. It was wonderful to see our talented locals showing everyone what they have to share.
Ta Ara Hou Toa Motorcycle group also attended our day and made a donation to our mahi. We are so grateful for their support.
Tiana Marino a kaiako for Te Kõhanga Reo coordinated workshops for the kids on the day. They had loom bands, DIY Patu and weaving. The kids were well entertained. If you are interested in joining the St Clair Playgroup Te Kõhanga Reo head to the St Clair Leisure Centre on Fridays at 1030am.
Brent & Rika Reihana of the Maori Business Network & Maori TV put together an interview on the day. Thank you to them for their support.
