On Monday the 7th of April, Whaea Robyne, Teowai & Ema attended the Nsw Community Cabinet visit for South West Sydney.
Premier Barry O’Farrell was in attendance along with the majority of his cabinet. They were there to touch base with the community, hear any concerns they had & answer questions
Residents raised concerns about the Moorebank Intermodal planned for the area and cabinet advised that they put their concerns through when the development process starts.
Other groups were concerned about the new tender process for funding that a lot of community organisations were being put to and how there were no guarantees or timeframes given.
Public transport parking was another issue raised and Barry bragged about how they had made more parking available for the public by stripping parking from train crew and station staff around the network.
It was an interesting evening. we saw some sidesteps worthy of Benji Marshall. I doubt many of those who asked questions were satisfied with the answers they received. It is only my personal opinion.
I attended to see what concerns were being raised and how the cabinet responded. If continued it would be a good venue to raise issues relevant to your local community. My suggestion would be to record your question and the response.
